WorldVision LogoWorld Vision Romania is organizing the MADE IN ROMANIA! Educational resources for International Development seminar on the 12th of May, starting with 11:30 AM, within the Faculty of Political Science, Bucharest University, Negulescu Hall (8, Spiru Haret St.). The purpose of this event is to showcase Romanian educational resources in the field of development education.

The seminar aims to evaluate the need, the importance and also the future prospects of these resources in the field of development education in Romania. Guests include Mihaela Rutjens, Director, Development Assistance Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yesim ORUC, Resident Representative, UNDP as well as representatives from the FOND Federation, the Civil Society Development Foundation, Save the Children Romania and the European Institute in Romania. The event will host students, lecturers and civil society representatives. We hope that together we will be able to answer the controversial question of whether Romania is too poor for global solidarity.

This activity is part of the EU-funded project "Raising awareness for development cooperation", implemented by World Vision Romania in partnership with organizations from Cyprus, Malta and Greece. The seminar is part of the Political Science Week, a series of events held between the 9th and 13th of May at the Faculty of Political Science, Bucharest University (FSPUB), which celebrate 20 years of independent political sciences in Romania. These events will tackle relevant subjects for the Romanian society and will include a volunteering fair, debates on major issues in the Romanian and International NGO field of work, film projections, photo galleries, civil society related book launches and much more.
